Wendell Carter Jr. wears Angel Reese's Reebok shoes in NBA game

Orlando Magic center Wendell Carter Jr. wore Angel Reese's signature Reebok basketball shoes during a recent game against the Miami Heat. The move highlighted the growing presence of Reese's sneakers in the NBA. Carter's choice fueled ongoing speculation about a possible relationship between the two players.

In a close 106-105 victory over the Miami Heat, Orlando Magic center Wendell Carter Jr. made headlines by wearing the Reebok Angel Reese 1 during the first half. Despite being a Nike athlete, Carter opted for the 'Receipts Ready' colorway of Reese's debut signature shoe, inspired by her response to doubters. He later switched back to Giannis Antetokounmpo's Nike signature shoes to complete the game.

This appearance marks Carter as the second NBA player to wear the Reebok Angel Reese 1 in a game, following Houston Rockets forward Tari Eason. The gesture underscores the shoe's crossover appeal from the WNBA to the NBA. Reese, a Chicago Sky forward and Reebok's only active signature athlete, has seen her line gain significant traction since its launch.

Reebok released the Angel Reese 1 on September 18, 2025, in three initial colorways, all of which sold out within minutes. Additional drops followed, with restocks occurring before Black Friday to meet demand. The shoes are available in various colorways for adults at $120-$130 and big kids at $100 through retailers like Reebok, Foot Locker, and Dick's Sporting Goods.

Reese's partnership with Reebok began with an NIL deal during her time with the LSU Tigers. Her rookie WNBA season led to a major contract extension, including the signature shoe line, under the guidance of Reebok Basketball President Shaquille O'Neal. The collaboration has refreshed the brand for a new generation, with Reese maintaining high performance on the court.
