West Java Police Chief Irjen Pol Rudi Setiawan led the Security Coordination Meeting (Rakorpam) for the week-17 Super League 2 match between Persib Bandung and Persija Jakarta, set for Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium (GBLA) on Sunday, January 11, 2026. The meeting aimed to refine security strategies for the nationally anticipated game.
In his directives, the police chief stressed full synergy among Polri, TNI, local government, and the Organizing Committee (Panpel) to ensure the match runs safely and smoothly. "Security will prioritize preventive and preemptive measures. We want this match to be entertainment, not a source of public order disturbances," stated Irjen Pol Rudi Setiawan on Thursday, January 8, 2026.
He urged Bobotoh fans not to force entry without official tickets and banned dangerous items like sharp weapons, alcohol, or flares. "We ask for no vehicle sweeping, no falling for provocations, and no anarchic actions. All that would harm Persib, who are currently competing at the top of the standings," he added.
Per the Panpel decision, Jakmania supporters are prohibited from attending GBLA. The police chief also reminded both fan groups to be prudent on social media and avoid hate speech that could spark conflicts.
