Women's golf teams prepare for More Than Golf Invitational in South Carolina

The University of Augusta hosts the 12-team More Than Golf Invitational from March 1 to 3, 2026, at Old Barnwell Golf Club in Aiken, South Carolina. Illinois State University's Redbirds travel there for their third tournament of the spring season, marking their first appearance at the event. Oakland University's Golden Grizzlies return for the second straight year.

The More Than Golf Invitational features a competitive field of women's college golf teams, ranked by the 2025-26 Clippd National Rankings: Tulsa (51), Columbia (98), Southern Miss (100), Denver (114), Augusta (134), Richmond (153), Morehead State (162), Radford (170), Illinois State (212), Oakland (213), Fairleigh Dickinson (218), and Alabama State (244).

Illinois State's lineup tees off in the first round with Reagan Braker at 9:30 a.m., followed by Dani Grace Schrock at 9:40 a.m., Elise Fennell at 9:50 a.m., Reagan Kennedy at 10:00 a.m., and Alex Sparrow at 10:10 a.m. The Redbirds will compete alongside the host Augusta team and Denver. This marks the third outing in warmer weather for Illinois State within just over a month, as they begin their spring schedule.

In their most recent tournament, Elise Fennell led the Redbirds with a 54-hole score of 231 (77-77-77), tying for 41st place. She recorded two birdies and eight pars in the final round. Dani Grace Schrock and Reagan Kennedy each finished tied for 53rd with scores of 235, including a final-round 80; Schrock had 10 pars, while Kennedy notched three birdies and seven pars.

Oakland's women's golf team returns to the invitational for the second consecutive season. Their roster includes Lily Bargamian, Grace Boczar, Olivia Hemmila, Paige Scott, Logan Bentley, and Channing Hagen.

The tournament takes place at Old Barnwell Golf Club, a private national club that opened in 2023. The course spans 575 acres of sandy soil and rolling hills, surrounded by longleaf and loblolly pines, with a par of 73 and yardage of 6,265. Live scoring will be available via Clippd.
