Wyoming track and field breaks two school records at Potts Invitational

The University of Wyoming indoor track and field team set two school records on the final day of the Potts Invitational in Boulder, Colorado. Jacob White, a senior, finished fourth in the men's invite mile with an altitude-adjusted time of 3:58.89 seconds. This mark established a new school record, surpassing his previous best of 4:00.46 and marking UW's first sub-four-minute mile.

The men's 4x400-meter relay team, consisting of Cody Hape, Logan Brown, Chance Morris, and Jackson Aydelott, won the event in 3:11.81. This time broke the prior school record from 2025 by half a second.

The women's 4x400-meter relay, featuring Gabbreiella Mendoza-Molina, Madeline Thorne, Megan Witkiewicz, and Eva Dellorco, claimed victory in 3:48.77, completing UW's sweep of the relays.

Elayna Chafee secured a personal-best win in the women's 60-meter dash at 7.67 seconds. Taliah Morris triumphed in the women's 200-meter dash with a time of 24.69 seconds, adding to her long jump victory from the previous day.

These results contributed to four first-place finishes for Wyoming on the track. The team is set to compete next at Montana State's Bobcat Challenge in Bozeman, Montana, on Friday and Saturday.
