Xbox Website May Add Buy Now, Pay Later Options

Evidence from the Xbox website's code suggests the addition of Buy Now, Pay Later payment options through PayPal and Klarna. The feature would allow customers to split purchases over weeks or months.

According to Better xCloud, mentions of PayPal Pay Later and Klarna's Flexible Payments were found in the site's code. A post on X from June 15, 2026, included a screenshot showing text that reads, “Buy what you love and pay later” and “Pay later options offer flexibility to break payments up over weeks or months.”

The Xbox website will have the “Buy Now, Pay Later” feature via PayPal and Klarna, the post stated. Xbox has been contacted for confirmation on whether the code indicates an upcoming change.

Such options have grown common on retail sites, with merchants paying fees to the providers. The move could help boost console sales amid current challenges.
