Ivory Smuggling

The makers of the upcoming Malayalam film Kattalan have revealed that they employed real elephants in production to ensure authenticity, avoiding CGI entirely. Directed by Paul George and starring Antony Varghese, the movie addresses the serious issue of ivory smuggling. It is scheduled for release on May 14, 2023, following a positively received teaser.
