Japan-Thailand Relations

Tokyo police have obtained an arrest warrant for a Thai woman in her 20s suspected of violating child welfare laws by forcing her 12-year-old daughter to provide sexual services at an erotic massage parlor. The mother brought the girl to Japan in late June and is currently detained in Taiwan. Authorities are also probing potential human trafficking involvement.
