Paul Giamatti

Actor Paul Giamatti, a longtime Star Trek fan, has joined the cast of the upcoming Paramount+ series Star Trek: Starfleet Academy as the season's antagonist, Nus Braka. The role came about after Giamatti expressed interest in appearing in the franchise during press for his film The Holdovers. Co-showrunner Alex Kurtzman revealed that Giamatti specifically requested to play the main villain.
