Sapporo

The InterContinental Sapporo, Hokkaido's first luxury international hotel, opened on October 1 in the capital. Operated by UK-based IHG Hotels & Resorts, it signals a push to expand MICE tourism in the Nakajima Park area. A new convention center is planned nearby for completion in 2033.
