Aida Birinxhiku named most powerful under 30

Aida Birinxhiku, 26, tops Expressen's list of the 30 most powerful under 30 in Swedish politics. The list was presented in Almedalen.

Expressen's jury has named Social Democrat Aida Birinxhiku the winner of the young power list. She is an MP from Halland and was elected in 2022 as the youngest member at age 23.

Birinxhiku, a trained lawyer who grew up in Falkenberg, is pointed out as a possible minister in an S-led government. She sits on the Committee on Industry and Trade, the Committee on Environment and Agriculture and the EU Committee.

She stressed her commitment to change. "The important thing for me is that I want to be involved in making a difference, not because I want a particular post", Birinxhiku said.
