The ride had briefly operated during Early Entry for Disney hotel guests before closing again that morning. Thrill Data recorded 72 minutes of downtime on March 24, 175 minutes on March 25, and 326 minutes on March 26, with additional outages earlier in the month. The complex ride, which debuted in December 2019, features a multi-part narrative involving trackless vehicles, motion simulators, and encounters with characters like Rey, Kylo Ren, and General Hux aboard a Star Destroyer. Despite its acclaim as an immersive benchmark, it has dealt with technical hurdles since opening, including static cannon blasters and occasional substitutions for the Kylo Ren audio-animatronic with a projection sequence.
