Four pilots from the Indonesian Air Force (TNI AU) have completed type rating training for the A-400M aircraft in Spain. The training included full flight simulator sessions, crew resource management, and mission planning systems. The first A-400M aircraft is scheduled to arrive in Indonesia in November 2025.

Four TNI AU pilots, namely Letkol Pnb Putut Satriya, Mayor Pnb Riki Sihaloho, Mayor Pnb Fathir M Hadid, and Kapten Pnb Indra Kusuma N, have completed the type rating training stage for the A-400M aircraft. The training took place at the International Training Center (ITC) Airbus in Sevilla, Spain, from October 17 to 23, 2025. They finished the Full Flight Simulator (FFS), Crew Resource Management (CRM), and Mission Planning and Restitution System (MPRS) training.

Following the training in Spain, the pilots will proceed to the Initial Operation Experience (IOE) phase at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport in Jakarta. The first A-400M aircraft, with registration A-4001, is scheduled to arrive in Indonesia on November 3, 2025. This Airbus-manufactured aircraft is expected to enhance TNI AU's transport capabilities in supporting military operations for war (OMP) as well as non-war military operations (OMSP).

The aircraft will also strengthen national air mobility and the TNI AU's role in maintaining state sovereignty and fulfilling national duties. This information is sourced from the official TNI website.
