Dylan Michael Myler, 27, faces charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon after allegedly stabbing his roommate twice in the neck at their Pocatello home.
The incident took place around 3 a.m. on June 24 at a residence on Sublette Street. Police arrived to find Myler on the porch smoking a cigarette and took him into custody with a pocketknife in his possession.
Inside the home, officers discovered the victim holding his neck and struggling to walk. The victim had two stab wounds on the left side of his neck, along with blood spatter on the walls and medication for Myler's schizophrenia scattered on the floor.
The victim told police that Myler had not been taking his medication and became upset when the victim tried to give him the pills. Myler allegedly jumped from the bed and attacked with the knife. He later told officers he wanted to kill the victim after being woken up.
Myler was booked into the Bannock County Jail on a $10,000 bond. His next court date is set for July 8.
