JoJo Siwa experienced intense stomach pain in the days leading up to her scheduled show on Friday, November 28, 2025, at the Mall of America. In a TikTok video posted on Saturday, she explained that the pain occurred during dancing or even simple walking. Initially, Siwa thought it might be menstrual cramps and tried to alleviate it with a warm bath, but this worsened the symptoms dramatically.
Her mother urged her to call an ambulance, and upon arrival at the hospital, doctors diagnosed a cyst on one of her ovaries that had burst, causing bleeding into her stomach. 'So that's what was causing the excruciating pain – anytime that the blood in your stomach moves, that's the bleeding in the stomach. It's like brutal pain,' Siwa said in the video. The condition is expected to resolve on its own, but she must monitor for symptoms like vomiting or renewed severe pain.

Thanks to pain medication, Siwa was able to perform at the Mall of America as planned. She will follow up with medical professionals in a week for further checks. 'We're going to keep it pushing, and if I vomit or if I have that excruciating pain burst again, I got to go immediately back in, but we should be okay,' she added.
