Kyle Fletcher defeated Konosuke Takeshita to capture the AEW International Championship at the July 8, 2026, edition of AEW Dynamite Beach Break. The match took place at The BayCare Sound in Clearwater, Florida.
The two wrestlers, once tag team partners known as Protoshita, had become rivals after Double or Nothing in May. Fletcher ended Takeshita's fourth title defense with a brainbuster on the turnbuckle.
The bout featured multiple high-impact exchanges, including an Exploder Suplex, Blue Thunder Bomb, and Raging Fire. Fletcher targeted Takeshita's right arm throughout and secured the pinfall after countering several of the champion's signature moves.
This marks Fletcher's first championship win since vacating the TNT title in April due to injury. The Don Callis Family joined him in the ring to celebrate the victory.
