Lewis Hamilton wins Barcelona Grand Prix for Ferrari

Lewis Hamilton claimed his first victory for Ferrari at the 2026 Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix, leading an all-British podium ahead of George Russell and Lando Norris.

Seven-time Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton secured the win after using a three-stop strategy. It marked the first Grand Prix victory for a non-Mercedes driver this season.

The result created the first all-British podium since 1968. Hamilton was joined by Mercedes driver George Russell in second and McLaren's Lando Norris in third.

Former Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson reacted on X, writing: "Great to see three Brits on the podium in Barcelona. Just a shame the winner was sponsored by an Italian beer." He later added that he hoped his Hawkstone lager brand could one day sponsor an F1 team.

Norris called the achievement "pretty special" during the post-race press conference. Russell described it as "a special feeling" to stand on the podium with two fellow Britons for the first time in 60 years.

Hamilton now trails championship leader Kimi Antonelli by 41 points and leads Russell by nine. The next race is the Austrian Grand Prix from 26 to 28 June.
