A 35-year-old man was fatally stabbed during a violent neighborhood dispute in General San Martín, Chaco, on Christmas Day. The attack took place shortly after holiday toasts, resulting in the death of Adrián Clever Navarro. A 19-year-old suspect has been arrested in connection with the killing.
The incident took place in the Los Silos neighborhood of General San Martín, in Chaco province, around midday on December 25, 2025. According to police reports, Adrián Clever Navarro, a 35-year-old resident of the Qom neighborhood, was attacked during a brawl between groups of neighbors that quickly escalated into violence. A 911 call reported a person without vital signs in the street, and upon arrival, officers confirmed Navarro's death from a stab wound.
The autopsy, conducted by forensic doctor Arturo Navajas at the judicial morgue, determined the cause of death as a 'cardiac lesion by bladed weapon and hemopericardium.' The body was transported from Félix Anselmo Pertile Hospital and later released to the family for funeral rites. At the scene, police units, the Judicial Scientific Bureau, and assistant prosecutor Olga Mambrín worked on the initial proceedings.
The investigation uncovered involvement from several individuals, including minors. A 17-year-old arrived at the hospital with fight-related injuries and was briefly detained after discharge. Two other young men, aged 15 and 25, were identified and placed at the disposal of the Justice system. Three involved minors were returned to their families by the protection agency.
Later that evening, around 8:45 p.m. on December 26, Chaco Police arrested the main suspect, a 19-year-old from the Qom neighborhood. The arrest stemmed from a judicial statement with a Qom translator interpreter that identified him as the perpetrator. Officers seized a serrated knife with a 10-centimeter blade and wooden handle, which was examined by the Scientific Bureau.
The case, labeled as 'alleged homicide,' is being handled by the No. 2 Criminal Investigation Prosecutor's Office, led by prosecutor Guillermo Codutti, during the judicial recess. Authorities continue proceedings to reconstruct the events and additional arrests are not ruled out.
