CBS Sports analyst Pete Prisco expects the Pittsburgh Steelers to finish with eight or nine wins in 2026 and miss the playoffs.
Prisco made the comments Tuesday on the 2 Pros and A Cup of Joe podcast. He ranked the Steelers third in the AFC North and said their recent pattern of close but unremarkable seasons would continue.
The team has posted 10-7 records in each of the past three seasons and reached the playoffs without winning a postseason game in nearly a decade. Mike Tomlin stepped down as head coach this offseason, and Mike McCarthy now leads the staff.
Prisco also noted concerns with the New York Jets, citing Aaron Rodgers's 2025 performance and ongoing issues along the offensive line and in the running game. He said the Steelers face similar questions about aging players and depth.
