On the evening of Sunday, October 12, 2025, a suspected attempted murder occurred outdoors in Morö Backe in central Skellefteå around 6:30 p.m. A man in his 20s to mid-20s was subjected to a serious crime and taken to hospital, but his injuries are not serious. The type of injuries remains unclear, according to the Prosecution Authority.
Police cordoned off the area around 7 p.m. and lifted the barriers at midnight. Two other men in their 20s to mid-20s were arrested on suspicion of the crime. Police have made seizures in connection with the investigation but are tight-lipped on details.
"We cannot comment. I'm not sure all witness interviews have been conducted and so on; it would be a disadvantage for the investigation to release too much right now," says RLC commander Christoffer Sundelin to TT.
According to police, the incident is isolated and there is no danger to the public. No contradictions appear in reports from various sources, all confirming the basic facts around the arrests and the victim's condition.
