Victoria Jones, daughter of Tommy Lee Jones and his ex-wife Kimberlea Cloughley, was discovered deceased in the Fairmont Hotel at 950 Mason Street in San Francisco early on New Year's Day, January 1, 2026. San Francisco fire and paramedics responded to a 2:52 a.m. medical emergency call and pronounced her dead at the scene, according to San Francisco Fire Lt. Mariano Elias. A 911 dispatch classified the call as a 'code 3 for overdose' involving cyanosis (oxygen deprivation), per reports.
The San Francisco Police Department and Chief Medical Examiner's office are investigating, with the cause of death pending. Sources indicated no foul play is suspected.
Jones had a history of legal issues, including a April 26, 2025, arrest in Napa County for being under the influence of a controlled substance (cocaine), possession, and resisting arrest. On June 13, 2025, she was involved in a domestic violence incident. She shared a brother, Austin Leonard Jones, 43.
In her acting career, Jones debuted in Men in Black II (2002) alongside her father, appeared in his directorial film The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada (2005)—with stepmother Dawn Jones as stills photographer—and The Homesman (2014), which he co-wrote, directed, and starred in. She also guest-starred in an episode of One Tree Hill.
Tommy Lee Jones, 79, is an Oscar winner for The Fugitive (1994) and has recent credits including The Burialist and Finestkind (2023). Neither he nor the family has commented publicly.
