San Francisco fire and paramedics responded to a 2:52 a.m. medical emergency call and pronounced her dead at the scene, according to San Francisco Fire Lt. Mariano Elias. A 911 dispatch classified the call as a 'code 3 for overdose' involving cyanosis (oxygen deprivation), per reports.
The San Francisco Police Department and Chief Medical Examiner's office are investigating, with the cause of death pending. Sources indicated no foul play is suspected.
Jones had a history of legal issues, including a April 26, 2025, arrest in Napa County for being under the influence of a controlled substance (cocaine), possession, and resisting arrest.
