The accident took place last weekend on the road leading to the Zuluaga population center, in vereda Claros, six minutes from Garzón's urban center. Yalder Alejandro Collazos, who was driving the motorcycle, lost control and veered off the road, colliding violently with a tree. There, doctors diagnosed a severe traumatic brain injury leading to brain death. He remained in the Intensive Care Unit on life support for several days, but his body could not withstand it, and he passed away last Tuesday.
Once the death was confirmed, forensics units performed urgent procedures and removed the body, which was taken to the Instituto Nacional de Medicina Legal for autopsy. Yalder was well-known in the community for his work as a delivery man for a local bakery, where he earned the appreciation of many residents for his dedication.
