Addis Ababa, Megabit 29, 2018 (Fana) – The African Union issued a statement of condolence on the death of Ambassador Kuntjit Senegergis, Angola's Deputy Permanent Representative, who served at Ethiopia's diplomatic front as a Pan-Africanist.

The AU noted that the ambassador spent many years in foreign affairs and diplomacy, paving the way for African female diplomats. It praised his tireless efforts to safeguard African interests, strengthen global cooperation, and advance collective priorities on the continent.

"His living work will continue to inspire African female diplomats with determination and purpose," the AU statement said. It extended sympathies to his family, the Ethiopian government, and fellow Africans.
