The Opobo Marathon, a prominent community-based coastal road race in Nigeria, has secured a new sponsorship deal with Ailes Group ahead of its eighth edition. Scheduled for January 5, 2026, the event builds on its foundation laid in 2019, when it first emerged as a gathering for runners and visitors. It showcases the rich heritage and hospitality of the Opobo Kingdom while boosting socio-economic activity in the region.
