Morena national president Ariadna Montiel Reyes urged Jaime Bonilla and Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda to maintain cordiality after a video with alleged threats was released.
Montiel acknowledged that the rift between the two Baja California politicians is not recent. She asked that personal differences not affect the Fourth Transformation movement.
“May they maintain respect, cordiality, peace,” Montiel declared during a press conference of Morena’s National Executive Committee. She added that unity for the transformation is the priority.
The statement came after journalist Luis Chaparro released a video in which Bonilla says he is going to “break Marina’s mother” and that he will keep “screwing her.” The former governor, now with the PT, criticized audits of officials from his previous administration.
Audios from December 2025 also revealed that Marina del Pilar hired former FBI agent Juan Sandoval in San Diego for matters related to her canceled visa, at a cost close to 300 thousand dollars.
