Arizona has occupied the top ranking for six straight weeks, with first-place votes increasing over time: 33 in Week 6, 42 in Week 7, 38 in Week 8, 32 in Week 9, 60 in Week 10, and 61 this week. Their undefeated streak, alongside wins by other top teams, solidified their position, as Michigan's first loss and Iowa State's 0-2 week opened the door for full consensus.
Michigan rose from No. 4 to No. 3 after a 2-0 West Coast road trip, defeating Washington 82-72 and Oregon 81-71. The Wolverines, now 16-1, lead the Big Ten representation with four teams in the top 11: Purdue at No. 4, Nebraska at No. 7, and Michigan State at No. 10.
