Ray Fittipaldo of the Post-Gazette highlighted ongoing issues with the Pittsburgh Steelers' inside linebackers during a radio appearance. The position remains a question mark despite roster upgrades elsewhere.
Fittipaldo noted that Patrick Queen, who earns about 17 million dollars annually, missed 28 tackles in 2025 for a 17.8 percent rate. He added that Payton Wilson showed productivity in turnovers but struggled against the run early in the season. Malik Harrison and Cole Holcomb also drew criticism. Harrison disappointed in his first year with the team while Holcomb has not returned to pre-injury form. The Steelers examined inside linebackers ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft but did not select one. Queen enters the final year of his contract and Payton Wilson must improve for the group to avoid major changes next offseason.
