Beijing denounces US chip curbs as threat to global supply chains

A spokesperson for China's embassy in Washington denounced the inclusion of three China-focused export control measures in the US National Defense Authorization Act.

Liu Chang, spokesperson for the Chinese embassy in Washington, said Beijing firmly rejects inserting negative content about China into the draft legislation.

He stated that global industrial and supply chains form as a result of market laws and business choices, and arbitrary disruption serves no one's interest.

Liu called on the US to stop politicising, weaponising and ideologising economic, trade and sci-tech issues, and to respect market economy laws and free trade rules.
