BMKG warns of light rain and thunderstorms in parts of Indonesia on Saturday

Hazy conditions are anticipated in Jambi, light rain in Palembang, and thunderstorms are possible in Pangkal Pinang, Bengkulu, and Bandar Lampung, prompting warnings.

Shifting to Java, light rain is forecast for Serang, Jakarta, Semarang, Surabaya, and Yogyakarta. Bandung residents should beware of thunderstorms. In Bali and Nusa Tenggara, light rain may occur in Denpasar and Mataram, with Kupang facing rain accompanied by lightning.

For Kalimantan, Pontianak will be cloudy, Palangkaraya and Samarinda light rain, and Tanjung Selor and Banjarmasin thunderstorms. On Sulawesi, light rain is expected in Manado, Gorontalo, Palu, Mamuju, and Kendari.

The agency stressed vigilance against extreme weather in these regions to reduce risks.
