Carson Beck signs rookie deal paving way for Drew Allar

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Carson Beck signed his four-year rookie contract on July 22, clearing the path for Pittsburgh Steelers third-round pick Drew Allar to complete his own deal.

The signing was first reported by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. Beck agreed to a four-year, $7.4 million contract, one of the last picks to finalize terms as the Cardinals reported to training camp.

Allar is expected to sign a four-year, $7.142 million deal with a $1.654 million signing bonus shortly. The Steelers drafted him 76th overall, 11 spots after Beck went to Arizona at 65th overall.

Three other quarterbacks and one edge rusher remain unsigned from the draft class. Arizona and Pittsburgh both hope the new signal callers develop into franchise options behind established veterans.
