Edwards noted that while the 91-man roster appears solid overall, the safety group requires further attention. He pointed to DeShon Elliott recovering from a leg injury and the recent signings of Jaquan Brisker on a one-year deal and veteran Darnell Savage.
The analyst also referenced second-year player Sebastian Castro and rookie Robert Spears-Jennings as part of the competition. Edwards suggested that adding another experienced defender could strengthen the position through competition.
