DANE reports monetary poverty line at 482,041 pesos per month in 2025

DANE published 2025 monetary poverty figures. The line stood at 482,041 pesos per person monthly, with a 28% national incidence rate.

The National Administrative Department of Statistics revealed that 14.4 million Colombians lived in monetary poverty last year. This figure represents a reduction of 1.7 million people compared to 2024.

The extreme poverty line stood at 236,580 pesos monthly, with 4.9 million people in that condition. Reductions in extreme poverty reached 16.7% nationally.

Quibdó recorded the highest incidence of monetary poverty at 61.7%, while Manizales presented the lowest at 13.2%. The national Gini coefficient stood at 0.531 points.
