After Rs 845 crore worldwide on day 17, Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar added momentum to reach Rs 935 crore globally by its 20th day—the first 2025 film past Rs 900 crore—while targeting Rs 700 crore India net (Rs 607 crore so far). A Baloch community petition over a contentious dialogue heads to Gujarat High Court.
On its third Wednesday (day 20), Dhurandhar earned Rs 17.75 crore India net (early estimates), boosting the domestic total to Rs 607 crore amid the Christmas weekend push. Worldwide gross stands at Rs 935.75 crore, eclipsing prior records including Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, the action-spy thriller—starring Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, and R Madhavan—continues dominating despite competition.
Separately, Gujarat High Court heard a petition by Baloch community members Yasin Allarakha Baloch and Ayub Balekhan Baloch to remove a dialogue by Sanjay Dutt's character, deemed derogatory by comparing their community to an untrustworthy animal. Justice A P Mayee questioned the claims: 'You have to substantiate how you have been prejudiced... The film is about a dispute between two neighbouring countries and you are saying that you are being defamed in India... You are trying to take something out of context.' The matter is ongoing.
