Egypt and UAE discuss expanded civil aviation cooperation

Egypt's Civil Aviation Minister Sameh Elhefny met with newly appointed UAE Ambassador to Egypt Hamad Obaid Al-Zaabi to explore ways to strengthen bilateral ties in civil aviation. The discussion centered on boosting air traffic, advancing training programs, and exchanging expertise. Both highlighted the deep historical relations between the two nations.

On Sunday, at the Ministry of Civil Aviation headquarters, Minister Sameh Elhefny welcomed UAE Ambassador Hamad Obaid Al-Zaabi and wished him success in his new role. He underscored the deep-rooted historical and fraternal relations between Egypt and the UAE, which are expanding across various sectors.

The meeting emphasized enhancing joint cooperation, particularly in increasing air traffic, advancing aviation training and capacity building, and exchanging technical and operational expertise. Both sides noted that such efforts would serve shared interests and contribute to the sustainable development goals of the two countries.

The minister outlined the ministry's ongoing initiatives to modernize Egypt's civil aviation sector, aligned with national priorities to improve service quality, safety standards, and operational efficiency.

For his part, Ambassador Al-Zaabi expressed pride in representing the UAE in Egypt and praised the strong ties between the two nations and their peoples. He described Egypt as a key destination for investment and tourism, highlighting its unique attractions, diverse regions, and significant opportunities for growth and expansion.
