Adrián Rafael Gámez Finol, known as El Turko, will be extradited from the United States to Chile to face charges for kidnappings and other crimes linked to the Tren de Aragua gang.
Gámez Finol, aged 39, entered Chile in August 2017 as a tourist and settled in Santiago, where he worked as a barber. He directed criminal operations of the Tren de Aragua remotely through calls and messages, including the 2024 kidnapping of Lieutenant Ronald Ojeda.
Prosecutors accuse him of selecting victims, assigning roles to gang members and coordinating extortion. His last physical presence in Chile was recorded in December 2023 during a kidnapping in Maipú.
Currently detained in the United States, his extradition is imminent, though the exact date remains secret for security reasons. He will arrive for a formalization hearing on the crimes committed in the country.
