Ethiopian athletes win Ljubljana Marathon in Slovenia

Ethiopian athletes claimed victory in both the men's and women's races at the Ljubljana Marathon in Slovenia. Haftamu Abadi won the men's event, while Tigist Gezake triumphed in the women's category.

Addis Ababa, Tikimt 9, 2018 (Fana) – Ethiopian athletes won both the men's and women's categories at the Ljubljana Marathon held in Slovenia.

In the men's race, Haftamu Abadi secured first place with a time of 2 hours, 6 minutes, and 52 seconds. Another Ethiopian runner, Kemal Husein, finished third in the competition.

In the women's race, Tigist Gezake claimed victory with a time of 2 hours, 22 minutes, and 46 seconds. This achievement highlights the continued dominance of Ethiopian long-distance runners on the international stage, as they swept the top spots in the annual Ljubljana Marathon.
