Carlos Alberto Robledo ran the 'Ministry of Salvation' from the garage of his home on Malarredo Street at 100, in Villa Tesei, Hurlingham. He drew in young people and teenagers for religious activities, according to the investigation. In June 2024, he was formally charged with 164 sexual abuses, based on complaints from 13 victims, including minors.
During the proceedings, Robledo denied being a pastor and claimed the site functioned as a community soup kitchen, but the No. 3 Criminal Oral Tribunal of Morón rejected these claims for lack of evidence. Prosecutor Marina Monti presented key evidence, such as WhatsApp chats where Robledo sent sexual innuendos to the complainants, including one stating: 'You are going to explode with beauty'.
Testimonies detailed patterns of manipulation and abuse. The pastor's niece described uncomfortable situations in private meetings. One victim explained the psychological impact: 'I didn't see him as my abuser, I saw him as my pastor, my reference. When I started talking about it with other people, I realized I had been abused. It was hard for me to accept it'.
Faced with the evidence, Robledo agreed to the abbreviated trial and admitted the acts, avoiding a full oral trial. The conviction covers 25 cases of repeated simple sexual abuse, one gravely outrageous, 141 instances of sexual abuse with carnal access aggravated by his role as a religious minister, and corruption of minors through deception. The 15-year sentence is the maximum under the agreement, and a DNA sample was ordered for the Genetic Data Bank.
