The Hoy No Circula program maintains its usual restrictions this Tuesday July 28 2026 in the Mexico City metropolitan area with no environmental contingency activated.
Vehicles with pink stickers, license plates ending in 7 and 8, and verification hologram 1 or 2 cannot circulate from 5:00 to 22:00 hours in the 16 boroughs of Mexico City and 18 municipalities in the State of Mexico.
Exempt are cars with hologram 00 and 0, electric and hybrid vehicles, motorcycles, public transport, emergency vehicles and those authorized for people with disabilities.
Fines for violations range from 20 to 30 Unidades de Medida y Actualización and the vehicle may be towed. The Comisión Ambiental de la Megalópolis could modify the rules if it declares a contingency.
