The Instituto Nacional para Devolver al Pueblo lo Robado will auction on May 28 the luxury cabin in Tapalpa where Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, alias El Mencho, died.
The property is part of a sealed-bid auction with a base price of 12 million 939 thousand 520 pesos. It is located at Lot number 10, Block 8, in the Tapalpa Country Club subdivision in Jalisco.
Federal forces killed El Mencho on February 22 at the site. Inside the cabin, religious images, a paper with Psalm 91 and remnants of food and medication were found.
The residential complex lies 130 kilometers from Guadalajara and is surrounded by forest. One of Oseguera Cervantes’s partners visited him there, which helped authorities locate him.
