In Cali, Pance corregimiento leaders presented Governor Dilian Francisca Toro with a master tourism plan to turn Ecoparque Pance Mágico into Colombia's largest nature park. The initiative aims for sustainable development while highlighting its biodiversity, scientific, and paleontological potential. Toro suggested forming a working table with the city hall and CVC for technical studies.
Community leaders, residents, businesspeople, academia, and tourism guilds from Pance corregimiento in Cali developed a master tourism plan to enhance Ecoparque Pance Mágico. The meeting with Governor Dilian Francisca Toro took place on March 16, 2026, including a tour of the ecopark. The plan includes trails, a boulevard along the river, mobility improvements, a solar farm, birdwatching, and scientific research. Gustavo Villegas, director of Pance's Tourism Table, noted participation from Universidad del Valle, Universidad Autónoma, and Cotelco. He emphasized that Pance has Colombia's largest nature park network and could become the country's top cultural and community nature destination. The governor stated that a table must be set up with the city hall and CVC to outline projects, costs, and technical studies, plus inspection visits. Toro invited Colombians and foreign tourists to visit for walking, jogging, sports, or birdwatching, calling it the gateway to Parque Nacional Natural Los Farallones.
