Javier Aguirre unveiled Mexico's final 26-player squad for the 2026 World Cup, which opens on June 11 against South Africa.
The Mexican Football Federation released the squad on May 31. Among those selected are Guillermo Ochoa, Edson Álvarez and Santiago Giménez, along with young talents such as Gilberto Mora.
Several players overcame recent injuries to make the roster, including Alexis Vega, César Huerta and Luis Chávez. Aguirre left out Marcel Ruiz and Germán Berterame.
Mexico will play its group stage matches on home soil: against South Africa on June 11 at Estadio Ciudad de México, South Korea on June 18 in Guadalajara and Czechia on June 24 in the capital.
