Alerts are divided into yellow for 4 to 6 degrees in boroughs such as Azcapotzalco, Benito Juárez, Coyoacán, Cuauhtémoc, Gustavo A. Madero, Iztacalco, Iztapalapa, Miguel Hidalgo, Tláhuac, and Venustiano Carranza; and orange for 1 to 3 degrees in Álvaro Obregón, Cuajimalpa, Magdalena Contreras, Milpa Alta, Tlalpan, and Xochimilco. The southern region, affected by Cold Front No. 32 and its Arctic air mass, will experience the harshest conditions, with potential snow or sleet near Popocatépetl.
Civil Protection's advice includes ensuring ventilation when using heaters, updating influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations, applying lotion to hydrate skin, safeguarding children and elderly individuals, dressing warmly to cover nose and mouth, avoiding sudden temperature shifts, sheltering pets from the cold, staying hydrated, and eating foods high in vitamins A and C.
Light rains of up to 5 millimeters are forecast for Sunday and Monday, though afternoons should be mild and sunny. Neighborhoods like Ajusco Medio in Tlalpan may see 0.7 degrees, Belvedere Ajusco 0.8 degrees, Santa Anita in Milpa Alta 1.7 degrees, Topilejo in Tlalpan 2.2 degrees, and AICM in Venustiano Carranza 3 degrees.
