Moving edge rushers could benefit Steelers defense, analyst says

Aditi Kinkhabwala believes the Pittsburgh Steelers could improve their pass rush by shifting edge rushers more frequently under new coordinator Patrick Graham.

Kinkhabwala made the comments this week on 93.7 The Fan. She said moving players like T.J. Watt and Nick Herbig across the line would keep opponents off balance.

"I think that you are better the more places you can play alongside the line," Kinkhabwala said. "That could only bode well for the Steelers, in my opinion."

Graham previously used similar tactics with Maxx Crosby in Las Vegas. Watt has expressed openness to the approach. Other edge players including Alex Highsmith and Jack Sawyer could also rotate into different spots.

The Steelers experimented with inside rushes from Herbig last season. A more flexible scheme is expected this year.
