Nu Ride arrives in Medellín for the first time on April 11

The Nu Ride, a popular recreational cycling event in Colombia, will take place in Medellín for the first time on April 11, 2026, expecting around 1,000 amateur cyclists. It celebrates five years of Nu's operations in the country and shifts venue from Bogotá.

The Nu Ride, which has grown rapidly in popularity, moves from Bogotá to Medellín for its 2026 edition. Organized by Nu to mark five years in Colombia, the April 11 event features 50- and 80-kilometer routes. Riders will cycle with the Nu cycling team and prominent cyclists like Rodrigo Contreras, Javier Jamaica, and Sergio Henao, mimicking a pro experience. Perks include an official jersey, breakfast, mechanical support, hydration, and photos. Early registration phases “Creyentes” and “NuLovers” sold out quickly; the general phase costs $220,000 or $154,000 with Nu payments, open to customers and non-customers. In 2024 it gathered about 200 cyclists in Bogotá, exceeding 400 in 2025, aiming to more than double that to establish itself in the amateur calendar.
