Nvidia chief meets SK Group chairman in Taipei to discuss AI memory chip cooperation

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang met SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won in Taipei to discuss cooperation in AI memory chips.

The meeting took place in Taipei on Monday. The executives shared the significance of SK hynix reaching a market capitalization of US$1 trillion and reflected on joint achievements in AI memory.

Huang cited robotics as a potential area for investment in South Korea. His trip to Seoul is expected to begin Thursday night.

On Friday he is scheduled to hold meetings with heads of major conglomerates including Chey, LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo and Naver founder Lee Hae-jin.

SK hynix debuted on NASDAQ on July 10, raising $26.5 billion in one of the largest foreign IPOs in U.S. history. Shares rose 12.8 percent on the first day of trading.
