Principal in 2025 controversy transferred to Simon’s Town School

The Western Cape Education Department has confirmed the transfer of George Gueorguiev to a deputy principal position at Simon’s Town School.

The Western Cape Education Department confirmed on 21 June 2026 that George Gueorguiev, previously principal at Kommetjie Primary School, has moved to a deputy principal post at Simon’s Town School.

Gueorguiev was at the centre of a hate speech controversy in 2025 while serving at Kommetjie Primary School.
