Ousmane Dembélé opened the scoring in the third minute with a finish from a Khvicha Kvaratskhelia cross. The Parisians then held off waves of Bayern attacks despite several chances and controversial referee decisions, including a handball by João Neves that was not awarded as a penalty.
Harry Kane equalized in stoppage time for Bayern, but the 6-5 aggregate score allowed the defending European champions to advance. Willian Pacho was named man of the match for his commanding defensive display.
Luis Enrique praised his team's maturity after a year disrupted by injuries. "We want to win a second consecutive Champions League," he said. Nasser al-Khelaïfi added: "Searching for the second star is our goal."
Kvaratskhelia called the match "the hardest of the season." The players celebrated the qualification in the dressing room before turning their focus to the final against Arsenal.
