A second man has been detained in the femicide of teenager Agostina Vega in Córdoba. Authorities are investigating possible accomplices in moving and hiding the body.
Eduardo Javier Medina Allende, defender of Osvaldo Fassetta, confirmed that the second detainee had known Claudio Barrelier for ten months. Both shared an affinity for Club Instituto and the detainee rented a room to Barrelier. Fernanda Alaniz, lawyer for the victim's father, stated that Barrelier did not act alone. She requested more detentions, especially regarding the transport and concealment of Agostina Vega's remains. Miguel Heredia, grandfather of the teenager, was urgently hospitalized after a decompensation. He remains in the same health center where his daughter Melisa, Agostina's mother, continues in intensive care. Actress Julieta Zylberberg joined the public protests. She noted that a woman is killed every 30 hours and mentioned the upcoming mobilization eleven years after the first Ni Una Menos.
