Patron Seyi Tinubu stated that the City Boy Movement has grown from a campaign platform into a nationwide organisation focused on development and citizen engagement during its national retreat in Abuja.
The first day of the City Boy Movement National Retreat featured an opening dinner at the State House on July 13 2026. Speakers urged stronger grassroots engagement and youth participation in support of the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Seyi Tinubu described the event as the beginning of a movement and praised members for travelling from all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory. He said the group had become a national network promoting democratic values and mobilising volunteers.
Director-General Francis Shoga announced plans to target 10 million youth votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the next general election through community-level work. Other speakers included Minister of State Mariya Mahmoud and Minister of Youth Development Ayodele Olawande who called for active youth involvement in governance.
