Lucas Capri posted an emotional tribute to his father, actor Herson Capri, on the day his heart attack became public. The 74-year-old veteran is recovered but will suspend theater performances on medical advice.
Lucas Capri, son of actor Herson Capri, used social media to pay public tribute to his father on Instagram. He shared a photo alongside the veteran and wrote in the caption: “My best friend! I love you so much. Always together”.
Lucas's followers were moved in the comments. One fan wrote: “So much love, affection, complicity, and empathy. An unforgettable story of love between father and son”. Another commented: “Beautiful photo! With all this affection, Herson must already be well for his return to the stage. I admire you a lot, friend”.
The post came on the same day that it became public Herson Capri, 74, suffered a heart attack and had to temporarily step away from the stage. Due to his health condition, performances of the play A Sabedoria dos Pais, currently at Teatro Bradesco in São Paulo, scheduled for next week, were suspended.
The information was confirmed by the production in a statement released this Sunday (22/2). According to the official note, the artist is already recovered and presents good health, but will remain at rest in the coming days on medical recommendation. “The actor Herson Capri suffered a heart attack, but is already completely recovered and doing well. However, by medical guidance and protocols, it was recommended that he not perform in these dates, prioritizing his full recovery and safety”, states an excerpt from the public statement released by Aveia Cômica Produções Artísticas.
Four sessions were affected: those scheduled for February 26, 27, and 28, and March 1. The expectation is that the return to the stage will happen on March 5. The statement does not detail when the heart attack occurred nor clarify if the actor remains hospitalized. On stage, Capri shares the spotlight with actress Natália do Vale.
